Ag. Manager, Corporate Affairs and Client Relationship Management

Ms. Mary N. M. Mwendwa is the Ag. Manager – Corporate Affairs  and Client Relationship Management with effect from 1st November 2024. Ms. Mary is a renowned Communications Specialist, Public Relations, and Customer Care practitioner with over 25 years of national and international experience across the private, public and civil service sectors. She has a proven track record in Strategic Communication, Media Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, Social Media, Crisis Communication, Customer Service, Team Building and Cohesion. Mary was also the founding editor of the Corporation’s internal newsletter (RE News) and an editor of  industry magazine.( Underwriter ) She was a producer of radio and TV programs. Her career began at Kenya Television Network (KTN).

Ms. Mwendwa holds a Master’s degree in Communications Management from the University of Lugano in Switzerland and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Moi University. She also has Higher diplomas in Information and Financial Management from Cambridge University. Her qualifications further include postgraduate studies in Mass Communication from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, editing skills from the British Council, and strategic and human resource management training from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. ( USA) Additionally, she holds certificates in Budgeting and Budgetary Control as well as Occupational Health and Safety from ESAMI. She is a certified Iso auditor and has attended numerous short courses, seminars, and conferences for continuous professional development.

Ms. Mwendwa is a skilled trainer, facilitator, negotiator and is widely recognized for her strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. She has transformed various institutions into more productive entities through her expertise in communication strategies, promoting team cohesion, strengthening relationships, and fostering synergy. Her passion lies in coaching, training, and empowering participants to build a positive image and winning reputation for organizations. Mary’s extensive experience includes soft skills training, managing partnerships, report writing, planning, coordination, capacity building, negotiations, change management, and crisis communications.
