The Corporation, through the Marketing & Business Development department in the Reinsurance Operations Division, has launched an awards program aimed at recognizing excellent performance of partners on profitability and timely premium remittance for the year 2023. On 5th February 2024, the Group Managing Director, Dr. Hillary Maina Wachinga, visited First Reinsurance Brokers Africa Ltd (First Re) to present three awards to them for 1st runners up /winner on profitable treaty business, 1st runners up in timely remittance and 4th runners up in profitable facultative business.
On hand to receive the three awards was First Re Group Managing Director, Mr. Daniel Kathitu. Mr. Kathitu was joined by First Re’s General Manager – Business Development – Mr. Francis Muema, Group Financial Controller – Ms. Lilian Kithome, General Manager – Underwriting and Claims – Mr. Pius Wandwasi, Claims Manager - Mr. Ephantus Kihara, Manager Underwriting – Mr. Nicholas Nzeki and Manager Life – Mr. Anthony Karanja. Both Group MDs exchanged assurances of the highest consideration for a continued mutually beneficial business relationship. Kenya Re Group, MD - Dr. Hillary Wachinga, was joined by General Manager – Reinsurance Operations - Mrs. Beth Nyaga, Manager – Marketing & Business Development – Ms. Lucy Kagwiria, Manager – Local Business – Mrs. Elizabeth A. Omondi and Acting Manager, Claims – Ms. Rose Waganda.
Kenya Re is scheduled to award 31 companies, all together, in a breakfast meeting that will beautifully climax the recognition activities on 15th February 2024 at the Kenya Re Training Academy located at the 17th Floor of Reinsurance Plaza, Nairobi.
