Kenya Re excelled at the Internal Audit and Risk Awards held on 11th April 2025 at Emara Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi. Ms. Jeniffer Mutinda John won Overall Head of Risk of the Year and Kenya Re was runner-up for Risk Management Function of the Year.
Our Group Managing Director, Dr. Hillary Wachinga, who was also a keynote speaker at the event, received the awards on behalf of the Corporation. He was accompanied by Manager, Internal Audit – Peter Rop and Assistant Manager, Risk and Compliance - Mr. Joseph Mwandikwa. These awards highlight Kenya Re's dedication to robust risk management and internal controls.
