On 13th March 2024, Absa Life Assurance Ltd, hosted the Kenya Re team, for a pivotal meeting aimed to explore potential collaborative business ventures. Present at the meeting were Mr. Githanji Gatubu, Absa Life Assurance Managing Director, and Mrs. Beth Nyaga, Kenya Re's General Manager of Reinsurance Operations, who emphasized the robust existing relationship between the two entities.
Mr. Githanji conveyed Absa Life’s dedication to broadening its engagement and exploring additional facultative business opportunities. The Kenya Re team agreed to promptly finalize reconciliation of accounts and engaged in discussions regarding potential partnerships on innovative products and services, leveraging Kenya Re's market expertise. Mrs. Nyaga also extended an invitation to Absa Life on nomination of their personnel for upcoming Life Assurance training sessions at Kenya Re's Training Academy.
Also in attendance were Absa Life’s Operations Manager - Betty Omoto and Head of Reinsurance – Jackson Lenkai, alongside Kenya Re's Acting Manager of Life Business – Yoves Angwenyi, Assistant Manager of Life Business - Jackline Karimi, and Life Underwriter - Richard J. Mongo.
