Kenya Re was pleasantly delighted to host a business delegation from Bharat Re-Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd and Bharat Re Global Limited on 21st June 2024. The team comprised of K. Padmanabhan (Chief Executive, Reinsurance), Dilip Shukla (Director, Reinsurance), S. Venkatachalam (Managing Director, Reinsurance) and Shailendra Jha (Reinsurance Associate). Mr. Kelvin Onchweri – Regional Manager & Principal Officer of Global Bharat Re Brokers Ltd. Nairobi was also part of the delegation.
The team was warmly welcomed by Kenya Re Group Managing Director (GMD), Dr. Hillary Wachinga and reinsurance business managers at the Corporation’s Head Office in Nairobi. The meeting was an opportune moment to address outstanding balances and to chart a formidable way forward on how to address them. The Bharat Re team committed to supporting the Corporation on acquisition of new conventional and takaful business in Kuwait, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Jordan, Israel amongst other profitable markets.
Dr. Wachinga also took the opportunity to invite the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bharat Re to attend the inaugural Kenya Re Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) summit; a one-of-a-kind and exclusive CEOs event set to be hosted in Nairobi in the month of September 2024. Both entities agreed to synergize more and deepen the existing partnership for mutual growth and development.
