Lillian Mbaabu

Ms. Lillian Mbaabu is the General Manager-Property and Investments at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation.

She holds a Master’s in business administration, Finance and a Bachelor of Arts, Land Economics, both from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant - Kenya (CPA-K), a Certified Investment & Financial Analyst (CIFA) and a registered Estate Agent. In addition, she holds a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) from college of insurance.

Ms. Mbaabu has more than 15 years’ experience in finance and real estate across local and multinational corporations covering Africa, Europe and Middle East. She has been extensively involved in unlocking value of diverse investment portfolios through implementation of growth strategies, operational controls, business efficiency and managing business partners. Her key skills include strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder relationship management, reporting, financial planning & control and team leadership. She has worked in several organizations amongst them Afristruct Limited as Chief Operating Officer, CBRE Excellerate as Investments Manager-Portfolios, Standard and Mutual-Kenya as Senior Investment Manager, Zep-RE (PTA Reinsurance Company) as Investments Manager and Gimco Limited, Kenya as Property Manager.
