Eunice Nyala is a distinguished business leader and seasoned commercial banker with a stellar career spanning over 27 years of excellence within the global financial services sector. She brings a sophisticated blend of multi-national operational leadership and strategic advisory expertise, having consistently delivered fiscal growth and institutional stability, for complex, high-stakes organisations.


A veteran of both local and global boards, Ms. Nyala offers deep understanding of corporate governance, risk mitigation, and international regulatory environments. Her dual perspective, rooted in both regional market nuances and global corporate standards, allows her to provide invaluable oversight on audit, risk, and strategic planning committees. Her core competencies derived from a stellar career in commercial banking at Barclays Bank (now Absa Bank), and directorship at KCB Bank, include Strategic Vision; Investment Banking; Advisory & Leadership, and Cross-border Governance. She bridges the gap between high-level fiscal strategy and robust board-level oversight, ensuring that organizations remain resilient in an ever-evolving global marketplace.


Ms. Nyala holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Marketing from the University of Glamorgan, UK and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK. She is a Certified Executive Coach Practitioner from the Academy of Executive Coaching, (AoEC), UK. She is also a Vital Voices Leadership Fellow and a member of Women Corporate Directors Global, the world’s largest network of women board directors. She is an alumnus of Strathmore University Business School, where she completed the Women Directors Leadership Summit, a corporate governance program delivered in partnership with Cranfield University, UK, and an alumnus of Babson College, USA and MCTC Israel on entrepreneurship.


Ms. Nyala previously served as director in TFG Plc, South Africa, and CIMERWA Plc, Rwanda.
