Kenya Reinsurance Corporation through its CSR initiative strategic pillar of Education has today presented a cheque worth Kshs200,000/- to Affecto Foundation to help in the purchase of books and uniforms for needy students. The Managing Director, Dr. Hillary Wachinga made the donation during a cheque presentation ceremony at the Corporations’ executive boardroom. The presentation was made to Affecto Founder, Mr. Ndungu Nyoro and other Board Members of the Charity Organization. Mr Nyoro was accompanied by select beneficiaries of the foundation.

Speaking during the event, MD, Dr. Wachinga said Kenya Re was proud of joining hands with Affecto Foundation to support the bigger education agenda of attaining 100% transition from Primary to Secondary School. He added that the Niko Fiti Initiative continues to operate under three pillars, namely- Community, Education and Environment.

On his part, Mr. Nyoro thanked the Corporation for considering their request and giving a generous donation that would be put towards buying books and school uniforms for needy learners who are in high school.
