Kenya Re Group Managing Director, Dr. Hillary Maina Wachinga, on Tuesday 5th March 2024, paid a courtesy visit on Apex Reinsurance Brokers Vice President – Treaty & Takaful – Mr. Bilal Laving and subsequently had a meeting. The meeting was held at Apex Offices in Nairobi.
Dr. Wachinga appreciated the business the Corporation has from Apex, both conventional and Takaful and successfully resolved that all balances from the current business engagement to be reconciled and payment to follow thereafter. The meeting also explored on ways to grow the Corporation’s business on both Conventional and Takaful arms through the broker. The meeting provided a great opportunity for the two entities to reaffirm their commitments on transparent communication and strengthening the existing partnership. Dr. Wachinga also interested his Apex Reinsurance Brokers counterpart on partnering in trainings on specialist classes through the Kenya Re Training Academy.
Kenya Re Group MD, Dr. Wachinga, was accompanied to this courtesy visit by General Manager – Finance & Credit Control – Ruth Ngugi, Manager - Marketing & Business Development & Kenya Re Training Academy Coordinator, Lucy Kagwiria, Manager – Local Business –Elizabeth A. Omondi, Acting Manager – Claims - Rose Waganda and Shariah Coordinator – Mohamed Omar. Mr. Bilal was joined by Broking Manager – Isaac Thuku.
